What is GREEN COMBAT (Pseudomonas Fluorescens)?
Effectively controls plant pathogens like Rhizoctonia, Scheleroctina,Phythium, Fusarium and many bacterial diseases, etc. It is also useful in the control of diseases like powdery mildew, Downey mildew, leaf blight, leaf spots etc. Along with rancid buttermilk useful in the management of several plant viral diseases.
Green Combat, which contains Pseudomonas fluorescens, is a potent tool for disease control in agriculture. Here are its salient features:
- Biological Control: Green Combat harnesses the power of beneficial bacteria, specifically Pseudomonas fluorescens, for disease management. Rather than relying solely on chemical treatments, it offers a natural, sustainable approach.
- Antagonistic Activity: Pseudomonas fluorescens competes with harmful pathogens for space, nutrients, and resources. By outcompeting these pathogens, it suppresses their growth and colonization on plant surfaces and in the soil.
- Antibiosis: This beneficial bacterium produces secondary metabolites like antibiotics and antifungal compounds. These substances directly inhibit the growth and development of plant pathogens, helping to control diseases effectively.
- Induced Systemic Resistance (ISR): Green Combat triggers the plant's innate defense mechanisms, stimulating systemic resistance against diseases. This enhances the plant's ability to withstand infections and reduces the severity of diseases.
- Root Colonization: Pseudomonas fluorescens establishes symbiotic relationships with plant roots, colonizing the rhizosphere and rhizoplane. This colonization enhances nutrient uptake, promotes root growth, and provides a protective barrier against soil-borne pathogens
- Green Combat contains the bacterium pseudomonas, which is a bio control agent Leaf blight, leaf Spots, other fungal diseases etc can be well controlled and prevented by using green combat.
- These acts up on microbes like rhizoctonia and scheleroctinia which cause stem rot and root rot of plants.
- Foliar Spray: 10ml of combat mixed with 1 litre of water. Spray during evening hours
- Main Field Application: 1 Litre Combat is mixed wit 20Kgs of dried and powdered farm yard manure and then broadcasted in one acre of main field just before transplanting. Keep Combat bottles away from direct heat and sunlight. Store it in cool and dry place.
- Seed Treatment: 250ml of Combat is mixed with 200ml of rice kanji to make slurry. The seeds required for an acre are mixed in the slurry so as to have a uniform coating of the inoculant over the seeds and then shade dried for 30 minutes. The shade dried seeds should be sown within 24 hours.
- Ingredient List: Pseudomonas fluorescens 1X10^9 CFU/ML
